CITY COUNCIL & WPC AUTHORITY
February 17, 2010                                                                     Vol. 25 Pg. 652
A   SPECIAL/TELEPHONIC MEETING of the City Council & WPC Authority was held in the Mayor's Office on Wednesday, February 17, 2010.
Present were Mayor Ryan Bingham, City Councilors Elinor Carbone, Marie Soliani, Drake Waldron and Paul Samele. Councilor Thomas Jerram joined the meeting via telephone. Purchasing Agent Pennie Zucco was also present. Councilor Richard Dalla Valle was absent.
Mayor Bingham called the meeting to order at  4:30 p.m.
PURCHASE GASOLINE, #2 FUEL OIL, & DIESEL
On a motion by Councilor Waldron, seconded by Councilor Soliani, the council voted unanimously to accept the Purchasing Agent's Recommendation to award the following bids to low bidder Dime Oil Co. of Waterbury CT contingent upon their price being no greater than10% over the bid price listed below.

Gasoline     $2.3347
#2 Fuel Oil  $2.2962
Diesel Fuel  $2.3139

Councilor Soliani stated that Purchasing will try to work with the Board of Education in the future to take advantage of their consortium pricing.
Councilor Waldron had the contract dates of June 30, 2010 through July 1, 2011 clarified and pointed out that it would be better to have the same dates as the Board of Education.
ADJOURNMENT
On a motion by Councilor Waldron, seconded by Councilor Soliani, the Council voted unanimously to adjourn at 4:32 p.m.
